Although Northwest has an "open door" admissions policy, there are procedures all students must follow in order to receive a Certificate of Admission. The following must be on file in the Registrar's Office before registration:
When all required documents have been submitted, the student will be sent a Certificate of Admission. The student will present the Certificate of Admission at the registration center on the appropriate day of registration. No transcripts can be forwarded to other institutions until all necessary admission information is recorded in the Registrar's Office. Students should begin the application process during their senior year in high school or as soon as possible before the first college semester. Adult students 21 years of age or older are not required to submit ACT or SAT scores unless their program of study requires a certain score for admittance. Northwest Mississippi Community College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment and degree verifications.
