Professional Development Courses
Continuing Education courses, workshops or seminars for professional or staff development are designed to fit specific needs such as license renewal for real estate professionals and recertification for teachers. Participants receive credit for these courses in the form of Continuing Education Units (CEU's). CEU's give recognition and provide a record of completion in a course, workshop or seminar which meets the appropriate criteria.
Continuing Education/Lifelong Learning Program
The Northwest Mississippi Community College Lifelong Learning Program recognizes that adults are still eager to learn and desire intellectual stimulation. It seeks to provide an opportunity for members to keep their minds active and meet other people.
- Non-credit Courses: A wide variety of non-credit courses are designed to afford the Lifelong Learner an opportunity to learn in a less formal setting. A minimum enrollment is required and there is a cost for each course.
- Reading Roundtable: Over the course of the semester, participants will read and discuss a variety of books addressing a theme of commonality. There is no charge other than the cost of the books.
